3. Categories of Data Collected and Purposes
Transparency note: data entered via these forms is transmitted securely to Duha Amanah ASBL and is not merely kept as a draft in your browser: it is used to get back in touch with you and to notify our team by email, in line with the purposes described below.
We only collect and process personal data that you provide to us directly through our various forms:
- Contact form ("Write to us"): Full name, email address, subject, and content of your message. This data allows us to respond to your inquiries or partnership requests.
- Volunteer form ("Become a volunteer"): Full name, email address, phone number, motivations, and availability. This data allows us to manage our volunteer teams and get back in touch with you about assignments.
- Newsletter sign-up: Email address. This data allows us to send you information about the ASBL's actions and projects.
4. Legal Basis for Processing
The processing of your personal data relies exclusively on your free, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent (Article 6.1.a GDPR). You express this consent by actively checking the privacy policy acceptance box before submitting each form.
5. Retention Period and Data Recipients
Your personal data is intended exclusively for authorized members of Duha Amanah ASBL in the course of their duties. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for commercial or marketing purposes under any circumstances.
Your data is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected (e.g., 2 years for volunteers, or until you unsubscribe for the newsletter).
6. Your Rights (Access, Erasure, Rectification)
In accordance with GDPR regulations, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access to and information about the data we hold on you.
- Right to rectify any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten") to permanently delete your data.
- Right to object and to withdraw your consent at any time (particularly for the newsletter).
To exercise any of these rights, you can write to us at: info@duha-amanah.be. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD/GBA).
7. Local Data Clearing Tool
Your browser may keep certain local traces related to your visit (cookie consent preference, an unsent form draft). You can delete these at any time by clicking the button below. This tool does not erase data already transmitted to and stored by Duha Amanah ASBL: to request deletion of that data, contact us at info@duha-amanah.be (see section 6).
