How three friends went from a sweets-selling project to a solidarity association.
The Initial Spark
Duha Amanah is first and foremost a story of friendship. In 2025, three friends started a small project selling sweets. They enjoyed the adventure so much that they decided to take it further: make it more real, more useful, and try to leave a better mark on the world around them. In 2026, they officially founded the association Duha Amanah VZW, registered under company number 1039.600.666.
Today, we are moving forward step by step, with the help of our families, donors and volunteers. Our first action, an outreach night for homeless people, will take place on 25 October 2026.
Our Impact Philosophy
We believe you don't need to be a large organization to do good. We start close to home, with simple, concrete actions carried out by volunteers. Every person we meet deserves to be welcomed with respect and dignity, and every euro we receive must go directly to the action it was given for.

Where does my money go when I donate?
85% of every donation directly funds our field missions (clean water, food aid, education), 10% covers fundraising and communication, and 5% covers the VZW's mandatory administrative costs.
Is Duha Amanah a legally registered association in Belgium?
Yes. Duha Amanah VZW is registered under company number 1039.600.666 (BCE), registered with the Dutch-speaking Brussels Enterprise Court. Details of our legal status are available in our legal notice.
Which countries do you operate in?
Our registered office is in Vilvoorde, Belgium (Flanders). Our field actions target vulnerable populations in Africa and Asia, as part of our clean water, food aid, and education projects.
Is my donation tax-deductible?
Under Article 145/1 of the Belgian Income Tax Code (CIR 92), donations of at least €40 per year can, in principle, qualify for a tax reduction. However, Duha Amanah VZW does not yet hold the required approval from the FPS Finance, so no tax certificate can be issued for now. Details in our legal notice.
